Steps to Product Development - Part 1

First of all, when creating your niche product, the most important factor is - what do your customers Want or Need! Once you have found out what they want, all you have to do is give it them... This may sound very simiple but it's amazing how many people try to create a product first and then try to sell it. Why risk you time and money creating a product without knowing if it will sell well.

Ok, now you ask - how to get your "future customers" opinions/wants/needs/etc., well of course the easiest way is to just ask them. There are many different ways you can do this:

• sign up with related forums, and post a few comments, also scan through previous posts to find possible problems and/or solutions that you could create a product on.

Once you have received enough ideas to create you product, now its time to get the content and put it together. Also if you or someone you know, maybe even someone in one of the forums you signed up with have a high level of knowledge or an expert on that niche topic. This may give you an edge of developing the content.

You may want to create an interview, you can use Skype to record your interview. Great thing about creating an interview is you can charge a high price for it, recommended between 10 minutes - 1 hour, also an audio has a higher perceived value compared to a report or ebook.
