Blogs are one of the more common ways to get your own presence setup for free. Another very popular way is with a web site. It's recommended to have your own domain name to make you website/business look more professional. But if you decide you want to setup a website but don't have the money for your domain or hosting... there are several sites where you can get free hosting and a free sub-domain. (example: http://www.yourdomain.nameofsite.com)

Note: If you do decide to take this root for your business, I recommend that once you have earned enough money to cover the cost of your own domain and hosting (the lowest I've seen is $25 for 1 year hosting and 1 free domain name - Find out more)

In order to create a web site, you need to have some background on html or use a WSYIWYG Editor, which means (What You See Is What You Get). These types of editors have similar functionalities as word processors. A few of these free HTML editors are:

• NVU - Complete Web Authoring System
  
• Trellian WebPage
• Mozilla Composer - is a part of Mozilla Suite

I'm currently working on creating a few example videos on one of the about editors, these are new to me as well, but I will be going over the basic details in creating a website or sales page. I hope to have these videos completed and upload by the end of the week, if not sooner.
